handsholdingearth.jpgIn 2013, OCICE received a generous contribution to be awarded to the Faith Leader who delivered the best Earth Day Sermon.  The first annual Earth Day Sermon Award was awarded to two Faith Leaders for their outstanding sermons. Those leaders were Rev. Dr. Carolyn Bohler of Redlands First United Methodist Church in Redlands, CA for her sermon entitled "The Dominion of the Park Ranger" and to Rev. Sarah Halverson of Fairview Community Church in Costa Mesa, CA for her sermon entitled "Good Housekeeping."  Click here to listen to the podcast.

The recipient of the 2014 Earth Day Sermon award was the Rev. Dr. Jeanyne Slettom of Brea Congregational United Church of Christ. The title of her sermon was "What Is God Already Doing? (We Are Not Alone)"
