Join OCICE for the
International Day of Climate Action

On October 24, 2009, OCICE will joinover 2000 rallies across the globe, to call attention to the need to get CO2 levesl down to 350 parts per million, what is considered to be the safe level in order to reduce the effects of global climate change.

Time: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Note: The hikes, 5K, and bike rallies begin at 7:00 AM. Registration for all other activities begins at 9:00 AM.

7:00 AM: 5K & Hike Registration
7:30 AM: Start of 5K & Hike
9:00 AM: Registration for Event at Outdoor Education Center & Exhibits
10:00 AM: Guest Speakers & Keynote Address w/ Chris Prelitz, author of “Green Made Easy” and eco-activist

The Orange County Interfaith Coalition for the Environment, Earth Resource Foundation, the United Nations Association-USA, Orange County Chapter, the Sierra Club, and the Outdoor Education Center will participate in the "International Day of Climate Action," along with over 1065 events around the globe, in an effort to call attention to the world’s political leaders to reduce carbon in the atmosphere to 350 ppm, the acceptable “safe” level scientists say will keep us from suffering the worst ravages of global climate change.
