to Host 5th Annual Faith Leaders' Luncheon
with Rev. Sarah Halverson, Keynote

BUENA PARK, Calif. — The Orange County Interfaith Coalition for the Environment (OCICE) will host its 5th Annual “Faith Leaders Luncheon” on Wednesday, May 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jain Center of Southern California, in Buean Park, Ca. The luncheon is open to all faiths and lay leaders are welcome to join their respective faith leaders at this luncheon.
The luncheon will feature Rev. Sarah Halverson, recipient of the 2013 Earth Day Sermon Award, her sermon entitled "Good Housekeeping." Other speakers will include members of houses of worship that have taken steps to “Green” their house of worship and educate their congregation of the importance of earth stewardship.
Steward of Creation Award
The 5th Annual Steward of Creation Award will be presented to the House of Worship that has taken steps to “Green” their facility. Let us know what your house of worship has done to tread more lightly on the earth. Have you installed energy saving appliances, lighting, or a/c, solar panels or drought tolerant landscaping?

Earth Day Sermon Award
The 2nd Annual Earth Day Sermon Award will be presented to the faith leader (or lay leader!) who submits the best Earth Day Sermon. The winning congregation will receive $1,500! The Rev. Canon Peter Kreitler will present the award. Click here for to learn more.
