OCICE is proud to partner with Earth Resource Foundation to bring you the following workshops. These workshops are offered throughout the year.  You no longer have to wait for the Annual Caring for Creation conference to learn how you can tread more lightly on Mother Earth!

Environmental Stewardship in Your House of Worship

In this workshop, you will learn how to start an Environmental committee in your house of worship, what activities to plan to get your congregation involved, how to plan an Earth Day service, etc.

Transportation & Energy Alternatives
Workshop Leader: Al Benoit

If you have been considering solar or wind energy for your home, house of worship, or business, this workshop is for you.  Learn what steps to take to prepare for solar or wind installation, including installing energy efficient appliances and lighting.

Creating a Non-Toxic Home
In this workshop, you will learn why using chemical cleaning solvents, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides are hazardous to your health, especially children.  You will also learn what environmentally friendly cleaning solvents work, as well as organic fertilizers and pest control.

 

Eco-Friendly Household Cleaning and Pesticide Recipes:

For recipes seen in the Creating a Non-Toxic Home presentation seen above, download the booklet here. This is set up as a booklet for printing purposes. But....you don't need to print it out and waste paper; just save it and review it as needed. Check back occassionally for new recipes.

Greening Your Home
In this workshop, we will cover non-toxic alternative cleaners and gardening techniques, as well as earth friendly remodeling practices (paint, flooring, furniture, etc.).

Greening Your House of Worship
Learn why Caring for Creation is a spiritual matter and why we need to teach our congregants' the importance of being stewards of the earth.  Additionally, you will learn how to implement energy saving practices that will save your congregation several thousand $$$ a year, as well as alternative cleaning and grounds maintenance practices.

Greening Your Business
Learn why Caring for Creation is a spiritual matter and why we need to implement earth friendly practices into our businesses.   Additionally, you will learn how to implement energy saving practices that will save your business several thousand $$$ a year, as well as alternative cleaning and grounds maintenance practices.
