Environmental Stewardship in Your House of Worship

In this workshop, you will learn how to start an Environmental committee in your house of worship, what activities to plan to get your congregation involved, how to plan an Earth Day service, etc.


Creating a Non-Toxic Home
Facilitator: Sherri LovelandIn this workshop, you will learn why using chemical cleaning solvents, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides are hazardous to your health, especially children.  You will also learn what environmentally friendly cleaning solvents work, as well as organic fertilizers and pest control.

In this workshop, we will cover non-toxic alternative cleaners and gardening techniques, as well as earth friendly remodeling practices (paint, flooring, furniture, etc.).

Learn why Caring for Creation is a spiritual matter and why we need to teach our congregants' the importance of being stewards of the earth.  Additionally, you will learn how to implement energy saving practices that will save your congregation several thousand $$$ a year, as well as alternative cleaning and grounds maintenance practices.
