Dangerous chemicals and large quantities of water are being used to force the last bits of the dirtiest kind of oil from our local wells.
Join us for an educational event and protectors march to raise awareness of the dangers of fracking and acidizing.
Park on Bastanchury, between State College and Brea Blvd.
Bring a sign - bright colors with a few words bodly printed work best to catch people's eyes when driving by! They don't have time to read a book!
8:45 AM: If you can ride your bike or walk to the event, please to!
Parking: Professional office building area at the SW Corner of Bastanchury and State College or the Summit Hill Restaurant Parking Lot right next to the oil well. Walk down the hill on Bastanchury to Rolling Hills Park. If that parking lot is full, go West on Bastanchury to the corner of Bastanchury and Brea Blvd to the Union Bank of California and Stater Brothers Shopping Center and walk back to the park.
9:00 - 10:00: Educational Event - learn about fracking and acidizing & why we are calling for a moratorium on these oil techniques until our safety can be assured.
10:00 - 12:00: Protector's March. We will be marching along Bastenchury between State College and Brea Blvd. Standing at the corner of Bastanchury and State College, next to the oil well would be a good place to position yourself if you need to rest!
Thanks for your interest and helping to spread the word.
